The London session (Europe open · the liquidity hour) · updated 2026-09-15 08:00 UTC.
London Session Prep — 08:00–12:00 UTC
The overnight story hasn't changed its tune: the 10-year Treasury yield briefly topped 5% for the first time since 2007, Brent ran to $109 before settling near $98, and Asian equities traded mostly lower after AI names sank on Wall Street. The Senate's Clarity Act vote is still parked for tomorrow — crypto gets its headlines later; this morning belongs to Europe.
London's own calendar is light: German ZEW Economic Sentiment and the euro-area ZEW read, plus Italian and euro-area trade balances. No tier-one fireworks, which means the technical picture gets to do the talking. EUR/USD is bearish clear — H4 RSI 25.1, price at 1.15368, coiled between 1.15325 support (0.7 ATR) and 1.15461 resistance (1.5 ATR). GBP/USD leans the same way, H4 RSI 31.5, sitting 0.9 ATR above 1.34639 with 2.9 ATR of room to 1.34942. Both charts are evenly balanced — a breakout is on the table, direction unknown.
Elsewhere: gold is bearish clear across D1/H4, pressed just 0.3 ATR above 4281.55 support. Oil remains bullish clear but flagged extended — respect that, and note D1 RSI 70.8. USD/JPY is the odd one out, H1 and H4 up with RSI 62, though D1 still points down. Bitcoin sits neutral between 76795.1 and 77390.5; Ethereum is squeezed between 2466.0 and 2486.9, breakout pending. Let the levels do the talking.
