London Session Prep — 08:00–12:00 UTC
The Clarity Act's 49–50 failure has handed crypto rulemaking to the SEC and CFTC — and the CFTC has already walked its proposal to the White House, while the FCA raids three London premises over illegal P2P trading. Meanwhile the Bank of England held rates but signalled a hike if energy prices stay high, and gilts rallied as it paused bond sales.
London's calendar is thin: Germany's Buba monthly report and a Goolsbee appearance, both Low. No marquee number — the session belongs to positioning.
On the barometer, Asia's stretched reads have partly resolved rather than flipped. EUR/USD is BEARISH CLEAR (H4 RSI 38.5) and GBP/USD BEARISH LEANING (H4 RSI 39.6), both still with no tested ceiling above — price is stretched. USD/JPY is BULLISH LEANING, H4 RSI 65.6 and M15 overbought, but note the bearish M15 RSI divergence and that 157.13725 support (0.7 ATR) is the level to hold. Gold has slipped to NEUTRAL, squeezed between 4339.22 and 4354.14 — a breakout is on the table, direction unknown. Bitcoin flipped to NEUTRAL at 07:15 UTC after its brief bullish lean, boxed above 81311.7 support with no tested ceiling overhead — and with fifteen label changes in 24 hours, don't read one flip as a turn. Ethereum is likewise NEUTRAL, pinned right at its 2648.1 ceiling.
If London continues the dollar bid, watch EUR/USD's 1.14735 support and USD/JPY's hold above 157.13725; if it reverses, those stretched reads are where it'll show first.
