SESSION PREP · ASIA

What to watch in the Asia session

The Asian session (Sydney · Australia · Tokyo · China · Singapore) · updated 2026-09-22 21:00 UTC.

Asia Session Prep — 21:00–08:00 UTC

The dollar bid that carried Asia and London is still standing as New York hands over: USD/JPY holds its BULLISH LEANING label at 157.482, with EUR/USD (1.14691) and GBP/USD (1.33731) both NEUTRAL — the earlier story continues rather than reverses. The wires stay crypto-flavoured, with the ECB pushing to scrap MiCA's 60% stablecoin reserve rule and Binance taking a $100m Circle stake.

This window is heavy on talk, light on tier-one data — Australia's Flash Manufacturing and Services PMIs sit at Low, and Japan is out on a Bank Holiday. The real weight lands in European hours: French and German Flash Manufacturing and Services PMIs, all Medium.

What to watch: does the dollar bid hold through the quiet Japanese holiday? USD/JPY's 157.28018 support is still the line — hold it and the lean has something to stand on; lose it and the H4 down structure gets a vote. Gold is the outlier, tilting BEARISH CLEAR with 4333.73 beneath and 4359.91 overhead. And with the tilt gauge flipping 6 times on USD/JPY and 4 on gold in 24 hours, treat any single label change as noise, not a turn.
