London Session Prep — 08:00–12:00 UTC
Asia left the dollar bid intact: USD/JPY is the only pair still wearing a directional label (BULLISH LEANING, H1 structure up, price 157.482), while EUR/USD and GBP/USD have both drifted back to NEUTRAL — EUR/USD at 1.14691, GBP/USD at 1.33731. On the wires, the ECB's new Pontes platform is putting tokenised assets onto central-bank money, and Bitcoin is still holding above $84,500 after Strategy resumed purchases. Note that Japan is on a bank holiday, so JPY liquidity stays thinner than usual.
The London calendar is light and mostly talk: ECB President Lagarde speaks (Medium) alongside German Buba President Nagel (Low) and UK CBI Industrial Order Expectations (Low). No tier-one data to anchor the session — which usually means the technical levels do the talking.
What to watch: does the dollar bid continue, or fade? USD/JPY's 157.28018 support is the line that matters — hold it and the bullish lean has something to stand on; lose it and the H4 down structure gets a vote. EUR/USD sits low in its range with 1.14623 support beneath and a blue-sky 11.9 ATR of room above, so a dollar wobble shows up there first. One caution: the tilt gauge has flipped 12 times on EUR/USD, 15 on GBP/USD and 23 on gold in 24 hours — read any single label change as noise, not a turn.
