The London session (Europe open · the liquidity hour) · updated 2026-09-28 08:00 UTC.
Good morning. The dollar's "death cross" chatter is still doing the rounds, the stablecoin rulebook keeps getting thicker by the hour, and Asia traded mixed while oil pushed higher — so the wires arrive with plenty to chew on and not much that's new.
London's own calendar is a one-item affair: MPC Member Ramsden speaks, low tier. No hard data, no central-bank decisions — just a Bank of England voice that could stir sterling if he wanders off-script.
So the technical gauge does the talking. USD/JPY still carries its BULLISH LEANING tag at 157.482, and 157.28018 remains the line that matters — hold it and the lean has something to stand on. That H1 Bollinger squeeze is still the tightest in 120 bars, and squeezes resolve rather than fizzle. Gold sits soft at 4342.88, BEARISH CLEAR, wedged between 4333.73 and 4359.91 — barely an ATR either way. And with the tilt gauge having flipped repeatedly on USD/JPY and gold in the last 24 hours, treat any single label change as noise, not a turn.
