Asia Session's Technical Barometer

What this reads: the bigger picture for this session — daily, 4-hour and 1-hour trends with 4-hour and 1-hour momentum, read when this briefing was written. It changes slowly and is not a forecast. Market Pulse reads only the last hour or so, so the two can disagree: a short bounce inside a downtrend can read bullish there and bearish here.

What to watch in the Asia session

The Asian session (Sydney · Australia · Tokyo · China · Singapore) · updated 2026-10-06 21:02 UTC.

Good morning. The day just gone kept both of its running threads: crypto regulation stayed in motion as the CFTC opened a federal framework for leveraged retail trading and FinCEN withdrew its wallet and mixer proposals, while France's sovereign-debt story and Britain's "thin ice" warning supplied the mood music.

The Asia window itself is a quiet one — a Chinese bank holiday, and a low-tier slate: Japanese average cash earnings and leading indicators, German industrial production, Lloyds HPI, the French trade balance and Swiss foreign currency reserves. Nothing here is built to move the needle hard.

On the cards, every symbol we track is showing no live read this morning — the feeds are paused, so there's no current gauge to lean on. That leaves the headlines and the data prints to colour the mood rather than set it. Worth watching whether the crypto rulemaking thread keeps feeding risk appetite, and whether the European releases start to firm up the France and UK narratives.

Note: the technical feed is paused across all symbols, so no trend or level reads are available this session.
